Now more than ever, kids need great care. And families need to feel safe. In addition to new guidelines at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and clinics, we have enacted new protocol at FedExFamilyHouse. We know our home away from home is important to you, and we are committed to providing a safe and sanitized environment.
While patients throughout all Le Bonheur facilities are limited to one caregiver who is a healthy adult, families are permitted two caregivers during their stay at FedExFamilyHouse. However, during the patient’s stay, only one healthy adult caregiver is permitted to attend health care appointments in Le Bonheur facilities. This prevents unnecessary traffic and exposure for patients and providers.
All patients and visitors will receive a mask at the Welcome Desk to wear during their stay at FedExFamilyHouse, to be worn while in communal areas. All staff are also required to wear masks while in the house.
While our communal areas are open to patients and their caregivers, we encourage social distancing with other patients and their families. We also require masks to be worn in all communal areas.
Food and Kitchen
The FEFH kitchen is open for use by patients and their caregivers. We ask that proper food safety precautions are followed while utilizing the area, including wearing a mask. Strict food delivery protocols have been enacted to ensure that individually prepared meals are safe and available as are other grab and go options.
Every patient and caregiver staying at FedExFamilyHouse will be screened via phone the day of or day prior to their reservation and will be asked upon arrival if there have been any changes in their health status. All visitors to Le Bonheur facilities will be screened upon entrance.
We are committed to keeping our facilities clean and sanitized. We follow strict cleaning guidelines throughout the day, focusing especially on high-touch surfaces. Guest rooms are cleaned daily unless the patient and their caregivers are isolated.
